Scar cosplay

Look, it's a cosplay! Of a particularly awesome character named Scar Daier, from a comic titled The Iron Wizard. She's a mage mechanic and Robbo Racer who sometimes outshines the title character, a cyborg wizard named Rucipher.

The costume premiered at FreeCon VI, and I'll likely wear it again (probably after a few touch-ups.) The hair's too red and I'm bad at posing and makeup and...*shuts self up before she goes on with more self-depreciating ramblings* But overall I'm quite happy with the costume, and it was a lot of fun to wear. People kept asking me who I was (as I wanted them to!), so I carried around my copy of The Iron Wizard Volume 1 and I pulled out any time anyone asked. I was in the costume contest, too! I didn't win anything (I didn't expect to), but afterward one of the judges said they were considering adding a Best In Character award and I would likely have won it. Though I find that a bit amusing, since nobody knew who the character was.

And unless proven otherwise, I now declare myself to be the first Scar cosplayer!

I shall also note that I did not take the picture; it was taken by a friend of mine, and he gave me permission to upload it here. I'm showing off the costume, not the photograph.
